We need something larger, more comprehensive.

1 Corinthians 12:13 “We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which he has the final say in everything. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized.) Each of us is now a part of his resurrection body, refreshed and sustained at one fountain—his Spirit—where we all come to drink. The old labels we once used to identify ourselves—labels like Jew or Greek, slave or free—are no longer useful. We need something larger, more comprehensive.”

Drop the old labels. Your self worth is not found in what you can do, but in what He can do. It’s not who you are that makes you valuable it’s Who’s you are. It’s time to stand for something greater than ourselves. Your label is Child Of God. Bought and paid for by Jesus Christ. This next passage in Ephesians paints a picture of something larger something more comprehensive that we are a part of and live for.

Ephesians 2:19-22 says, “You’re no longer wandering exiles. This kingdom of faith is now your HOME country. You’re no longer strangers or outsiders. You BELONG here, with as much right to the name Christian as anyone. God is building a HOME. He’s using us all – irrespective of how we got here – in what he is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now he’s using YOU, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the CORNERSTONE that holds all parts together. We see it taking shape day after day – a holy temple built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at HOME.”

“God is using US ALL in what He is building…What a promise that we can build our lives on! God, the Creator of the Universe, is using US – you and me – to build His HOME. Irrespective of our past mistakes, our failures and even our successes, God is collectively gathering a community of believers to outwork the building of His Kingdom here on Earth.” Brian Houston

The challenge is great, but together, our response makes a world of difference…
